CALL TO ORDER A duly noticed special meeting of the Burlingame City Council was held on the above date in Conference Room A of City Hall. Mayor Mike Coffey called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: Baylock, Coffey, Galligan, Janney, O'Mahony None 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments. 4. STAFF REPORTS a.INTRODUCE ORDINANCE TO INCREASE MEMBERSHIP ON ADVISORY BOARD TO ADD FOUR ADDITIONAL MEMBERS REPRESENTING TOURISM-RELATED BUSINESSES TO THE SAN MATEO COUNTY TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT CA Anderson requested Council introduce an ordinance to increase membership to the Advisory Board to add four additional members representing tourism-related businesses to the San Mateo County Tourism Business Improvement District. Anne LeClair of the San Mateo County Convention and Visitors Bureau spoke of the board's work over the past year and inclusion of various hospitality businesses. Mayor Coffey requested the Deputy City Clerk to read the title of the proposed ordinance. Councilman Galligan made a motion to waive further reading of the proposed ordinance; seconded by Councilwoman Janney, approved unanimously by voice vote, 5-0. Vice Mayor O'Mahony made a motion to introduce the proposed ordinance; seconded by Councilman Galligan, approved unanimously by voice vote, 5-0. Mayor Coffey requested the Deputy City Clerk to publish a summary of the proposed ordinance at least five days before proposed adoption. Burlingame City Council Approved Minutes 57 October 3 l, 2003 BOARD OF THE SAN MATEO COUNTY TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (BID) AND DECLARING INTENTION TO ESTABLISH ASSESSMENTS FOR THE 2OO4 YEAR FOR THE DISTRICT CA Anderson requested Council adopt Resolution #106-2003 approving the annual report of the Advisory Board of the San Mateo County Tourism Business Improvement District (BID) and declaring intention to establish assessments for the 2004 year for the District. Vice Mayor O'Mahony made a motion to approve adoption of Resolution#106-2003; seconded by Councilwoman Janney, approved unanimously by voice vote, 5-0. 5.
