1. SPECIAL MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
A special meeting of the Burlingame City Council was held on the above date in Conference Room A in
the City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting was called to order at 4:32 p.m. by Mayor Joe Galligan.

Led by Ann Musso.

Vice Mayor Spinelli arrived for the meeting at 4:37 p.m.
4. Legislative Briefins with Senator Speier
1. Plans for upcoming Legislation
2. Input from City Council regarding upcoming legislation affect the City of Burlingame
Senator Speier spoke regarding the 23 Bills that were signed into law during the 2001 session as well as
bills that are being reviewed or being held by Governor Davis.
City Manager Nantell and City Council reviewed various legislative issues that are a priority to the City
of Burlingame for Senator Speier's information.

6. CONSENT CALENDAR
a. Street Closure - Hallgween Safe Street - Brimrose Road
Executive Assistant Weber recommended Council authorize the closure of Primrose Road between
Burlingame Avenue and Donnelly Avenue as the site for the community Halloween Safe Street program
on October 31,2001.
Councilwoman Janney made a motion to approve the consent calendar; seconded by Vice Mayor
Spinelli, approved unanimously by voice vote, 5-0.
7. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Galligan adjoumed the meeting in memory of Sister Virginia Merrill at 5:20 p.m.
