The neetlng was called to-gether at 8:00 P.M., ltrayor Eunt 1n the Chalr. Councllmen Buck, Blves, Eunt, McDonald and Ward answered to ro11ca}l. - Absents Councllmen, l[one. The nlnutes of the prevlous meetlng of Jwle 19, 1959 were approvedas submltteil to the Counc11, the reading belng dlspensed with. A report fron the Plarurlng Conmlsslon approved request of E. Kappto rearrange the rear portlons of Lots 6 and ?, Block 53, Easton,lnto one lot to faee on Adellne Drlve condltlonal to the ftHng ofa map wlth the Clty Englneer showlng change as made. The actlon ofthe Planxlng Comnlsslon was ratlfled on rnotlon by Councllnan Ward and seconded by Councllnan l{cDonald. Blds on motor vehLcle lnsurance were read as follows: Cleverdon & Conpany Paclftc nuto Insurance Co.$Gas.zs $?25.00 Rochex & Bochex $LO22.44 A11 blds on basls $25,000/$501000 and $5000 property damage. Award of contract was made to Cleverdon & Conpany on notlon of Corurclloan Buck and seeonded by Councllnan Elves. The Market Street Ballway Company subnltted easenent grant for the placing of two 48tr plpes under thelr trricks between MaJ111a and Sanchez Avenues. the Clty was asked to execute an agreenent approvlng of sane. Councllnan Buck lntrodueed a Resolutlon empowerlng the l{ayor and the Clty Clerk to subscrlbe to agreement as set forth. The same was carrled on vote of the Councll. The Southern Paclflc Conpany subnltted ease&ent grant for theplaclng of two 48n pipes under and through thelr ilght of way at Broadway under agreement dated June 26, 1939 whlcb the Mayor and the Clty Clerk was requested to subscrlbe to. Counclfman Buck lntroduced a Resolution enpowerlng sald officlals to subscrlbe tosald agreenent. The sane was duly seconded and carrled. L.A. Cava11er, owner of lots 108-109-110, Burllngane Gate, ln a coBnunleation to the Councll stated he was bulldlng a home on saldlots and was desirous of havLng the street work, curbs and guttersput ln. Be requested the Councll to take whatever steps as may be necessary to complete the work lndlcatlng offer to pay one-half lf the Clty w111 assune the remalnlng one-ha1f. Councllnan McDonald offered Resolutlon of Intentlon No. 144 provldlng for the work asset forth and settlng August 7, 1939 at 8:00 P.M. as the tlme for recelvlng b1ds.
