The Clty P1annlng Commlsslon, ln a coruorxrlcatlon, recomnendedthat the rezonlng of Chapln Avenue be completed forthwlth and the setbaek establlshed as deslred by property owners to faellltate the handllng of qult c1a1ms for the wldening. A motlon was offered by Counellnan Eunt instructlng the Ctty Attorney to pre- pare an.ordlnance along: the 11nes indlcated; Before final passage of the same, opponents and proponents of the ueasure w111 be heard. Petltlons for the wldenlng of Lorton Avenue between Bellevue Avenue and Howard Avenue and Broadlay between Callfornla Drive and E1 CanLno Real were read by the Clerk; Lorton Avenue belng spon- sor0d by the Chanber of Conmerce and Broadway by the Broadway Development Assoblatlon. The sane were ordered referred to Superlntendent of Publlc Works Longson for a statement of costs and the possibllity of a P.Il .A. grant or gas tax funds to an anount equlvalent to that customarlly granted ln sueh improvements. Motlon by Councllman McDonald. The League of Callfornla Munlclpalitles submltted for the CounclltS conslderatlon, an lncrease in annual dues from $175.00 to $275.00asslgntng as a reason the loss of revenue from the Spelnan fund and the Anerlcan Mutual Assoclatlon and other revenue sources totallng $5800.00 arurually. fhe same was lald over for conslderatlon. A letter from the Department of Publ1c llealth and Welfare Bureau on the rables situation was read. Chief Harper advised the Councll that he was cooperatlng wlth the Health Departnent 1n thls respect. Ordlnance No. 330 regulating parklng ln a1ley to the rear of Block 1, Burllngane Avenue, Town of Burlingame, was glven lts first readlng. Introductlon by Councllman llunt.
