The meeting was ca11ed together at B;00 P.M., Mayor V{ard ln the Chalr. Councllmen E1ves, Hunt, MeDonald and llfard answered to ro11 ca1l.Absent: Councllnan Buck. The mlnutes of the prevlous meeting of October 3rd, 1958 were approved as submitted to the Counel1, the readlng being dlspensedwlth. A letter was read fron the San Mateo Junlor Chamber of Commeree announclng a dlnner meet at Ben Franklln Eote1, October 28, 1938at 'l P.M., and requested the Councllts presenee. The lnvltation was accepted on vote of the Councll. Edmond Parrott Chapter Disabled Veterans requested permisslon tosell flags on streets by veterans wlth lleense waived for same. The request was referred to Chlef Harper for hls approval. Congressman John J. MeGrath submitted llst of proJects covering sewer malns, water works malns and servlce l1nes that would bear Vf.P.A. endorsement should the Councll elect to flle an applleatlonat thls time. lhe conmunlcatlon was ord.ered to be aetrnoiviedged and plaeed on file o - E,N. Klahn and $.C. Riehards, resldents of Callfornla Drlve northof Broadw&yr called attentlon to the howllng of dogs at the pound and urged the relocatlon to some other part of the Clty. ChlefHarper was asked to look lnto the matter and brlng in recommendation. The City Plannlng Conmlsslon submltted lts approval to the elrange ofclasslflcatlon from flrst residentlal to second resldentlal so asto pernlt two famlly dwelllngs and duplexes on property descrlbedas follovrs: Easton No. 1 - Bloek g taston No. 1 :- Block 12 Easton No. 1 - Bloek 16 The foregolng was approved on motlon by Councllman MeDonald and $ras seeonded by Counellman Hlves. ft was referred to City AttorneyDavts for preparatlon of an ordlnance along l-lnes indlcated. U.F. Gothan, 1001 Bernal Avenue, ca11ed attention to the plaelngof debrls on vacant lots and was informed tire.t ttre sa.me y;ould betaken ca.re of. W.J. The reports of the Fo11ce Departnent and City Judge for the monthof September were read and were ordered f1led. Demands agalnst the clty, #zaas fu #z7bb, inclusive were read. andapproved and warrants were ordered dravrn on the Clty Treasury forthelr respeetlve amounts.
