ORDINANCE NO.
ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 12. 04.065 REQUIRING
RESTORATION OF ABANDONED DRIVEWAYS
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame, California, ORDAINS
Section 1. Section 12.04.065 is hereby added to the Burlingame
P1unicipal Code to read as follows:
"12.04.065 Abandoned Driveways.
No driveway curb cuts shall be allowed to remain once the
driveway use is abandoned. The City Engineer shall require the
adjacent property owner to restore the full height curb and gutter
across the driveway opening and restore the sidewalk to its normal
grade. The City Engineer shall use the provisions of Chapter 12.12
of this Title, when necessary, to insure compliance with this pro-
vision.°
Section 2. It is the intention of the Burlingame City Council
in adopting this ordinance that abandoned driveways existing at the time of
this ordinance, as well as those that may be created by new construction in
the future, shall be restored and that the City Engineer shall use the
provisions of Chapter 12.12 in carrying out such intention.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published as required by
law.
