AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 17.106 OF
THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE TO REQUIRE WATCH-
MEN DURING FUMIGATION
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame does ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 17.04.195 is hereby added to the Burlingame
Municipal Code to read as follows:
"17.04.195 Amendment of Section 17.106 - Watchmen. Curing Fumigation.
Section 17.106 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to read as
follows:
During the period fumigation is in process, except when
fumigation is conducted in a gas-tight vault or tank, a capable,
alert watchman or watchmen shall remain on duty at the entrance
or entrances to the building, ship, or enclosed space fumigated
until after the fumigation is completed and until the premises
are properly ventilated and again safe for human occupancy.
Sufficient watchmen shall be provided to prevent any person
from entering the building, ship or enclosed space under
fumigation without being observed."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be published as required by
law.

hereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the Y±} day of
