ORDINAPCE PROVIDING FOR INCREASE IN COUNCILMEN'S SALARY
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame does ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. Section 2.04.030 of the Burlingame Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"2.04.030 Salary.
(a) PURPOSE. This section is enacted pursuant to Section
36516.2 of the Government Code of the State of California authoriz-
ing increases in councils' salaries beyond the amounts based on
City population.
(b) SALARIES. Each member of the Council shall receive as
salary the sum of two hundred twenty-five
dollars
($225.00)
per
month.
It shall be payable from and after
the
operative
date of
the ordinance
codified in this section,
at the
same time
and in
the same
manner as the salaries paid to
other
officers and
em-
ployees
of the City.
(c) REIMBURSEMENT. The salaries prescribed herein are exclusive
of any amounts payable to each member of the Council as reimbursement
for actual and necessary expenses incurred by him in the performance
of official duties.
(d) OPERATIVE DATE. This section becomes operative only on
and after the date one or more members of the Council becomes
eligible by virtue of beginning a new term of office following
the next general municipal election."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published as required by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of December, 1976, and
adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the
3rd day of January, 1977,
