ORDINANCE NQ, 1174
ORDINANCE RENjQVTNG STATUTORY REQUIREMENT
OF BONDS FOR CITY CLERK, DEPUTY CITY
TREASURER AND FINANCE DIRECTOR
The CITX COUNCIL o,F the City of Burlingame ORANS as
Sec on 1, Section 3,08,040 of the Burlingame Municipal
Code, -requiring surefy: bond- of the City Clerklis hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section 3,.12,020 of said Code is hereby
amended as followsato remove the requirement of a surety bond
for the Deputy City Treasurer:
3.15;020 Bbnd.
Before entering upon his duties, the city treasurer
must execute a bond to the city, with sufficient sureties
in accordance with requirements provided by law. The
penal sum of such bond shall be two hundred fifty thou-
sand dollars, and shall cover the faithful performance by
the city treasurer of the duties of his office and of his
duties with respect to all moneys coming into his hands
as such city treasurer, or the ordinances of the city, or
under any law of the State of California. The bond shall
be approved by the city council and filed with the city
clerk."
Section 3. Section 3.14.040 of said Code, requiring
surety bond for the Finance Director, is hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance
. shall be published as
required by law.

hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a
regular meeting of the City Council held on the 3rd day of March,
1980, and was adopted therafter at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 17th day of March, 1980, by the follow-
ing vote;
