ORDINANCE CONSOLIDATING GEidERAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION WITH SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame does hereby
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1.
Pursuant to the authority of Section 36503
of the Government Code of the State of California, the general
'!municipal election of the City of Burlingame shall be held on
the same day as the school district elections, to wit, on the
first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each odd -
eyed year.
Section 2. Those city officers whose four-year terms
�f office would have, prior to the adoption of this ordinance,
=_xpired on the Tuesday succeeding, the second Tuesday in April of
sn even numbered year, shall continue in office until no later
than the fourth Tuesday after the day of the general municipal
=_lection established pursuant to Section 1 of this ordinance.
Section 3. Within thirty (30) days after this
comes operative, the City Clerk shall cause a notice to be
fled to all registered voters informing them of the change in
e election date; the notice shall also inform the voters that
a result of such change, elected City officeholders' terms in
will be extended and that no terms shall be decreased.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become operative upon
approval of the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County,
