ORDINANCE NO. 1207
AN OF.DIlANCE PROHIBITITdG EXCESSIVE
ACCELERATIOV OF MOTOR VEHICLES
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame does ORDAIN
as follows:
Section I.
Section 13.1b.120, prohibiting excessive
acceleration of motor vehicles, is added to the Burlingame Munici-
pal Code, to read as follows:
"13.16.120 Excessive Acceleration of Motor Vehicles
No person shall oAerate or drive a motor vehicle
within the
city to so
accelerate the same
as to cause
audible noise
by tire
friction on pavement
or to cause
the tires
of said vehicle
to leave skid marks
upon the
pavement,
except when
such acceleration is
reasonably
necessary
to avoid a
collision."
