HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 12033/30/81 ORDINANCE 140. ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING WASTE WATEP. COLLECTION RATES AND CHARGES The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame does ORDAIIQ as follows: Section 1. Section 15.08.070 of the Burlingame Plunici- pal code is hereby amended to read as follows: "15.08.070 Sewer Rental Service Charges. Every person whose premises in the City are served by a connection with the system of sewerage of the City, whereby the sewerage or industrial wastes, or either or both, are disposed of by the City, shall pay a bi-monthly sewer charge based upon the quantity of metered water per bi-monthly billing period as set forth in the following rate schedule, whether such water is derived from a source other than City water supply or all or part of such water is furnished to the premises without charge. The Director of Public Works shall determine the classification of uses notspecifically listed. (1) Single-family / duplex / institutional (schools, $0.67 per thousand gallons churches and government buildings) of water consumption for the billing periods December th th corough May; and $0.37 per ousand gallons of water nsumption for the billing periods of June through November (2) Multi -family residential $0 of water consumption .67 per thousand gallons (3) Restaurants, (4) Moderate strength com- mercial caterers, supermarkets, bakeries and other commercial food processing and food related commercial $1.90 per thousand gallons of water consumption $1.37 per thousand gallons , including manu- of water consumption facturing, commercial or industrial laundries, hotels with restaurants, and mortuaries 1 (5) Light strength commer- cial, including office warehouse, office buildings, cocktail lounges, auto related, car wash, laundromats, convalescent homes, hotels without resta- rants and hospitals $1.06 per thousand gallons of water consumption" Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance shall become effective with meter readings as of .August 1, 1981. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published as required by law. "Mayor I, EVELYN H.
