A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT OF FOUR VEHICLES FOR THE CITY’S FLEET
SYSTEM AS PART OF THE FY 2025-2026 VEHICLE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM IN
THE AMOUNT OF $1,728,488.36
WHEREAS, the Fleet Division of the Public Works Department is entrusted with the
maintenance of the City’s vehicles and equipment through the strategic management of the
Vehicle Replacement Program; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified four vehicles that are due for replacement; and
WHEREAS, the City’s competitive bidding requirements for the purchase of four vehicles
have been satisfied by requesting bids from four local dealerships for two vehicles and utilizing a
Sourcewell Cooperative Contract for the replacement of two vehicles; and
WHEREAS, staff has obtained the lowest responsible bids for the following vehicle
replacements:
• One 2026 Ford F-350 Super Cab Super Duty with a Service Body from Towne Ford in the
amount of $102,967.38; and
• One 2026 Ford F-350 Regular Cab Super Duty with a Service Body from Towne Ford in
the amount of $86,209.00; and
• One 2026 Freightliner 114SD Vac-Con Sewer/Excavation Combination Vehicle from
Municipal Maintenance Equipment via Sourcewell Contract No. 101221-VAC in the
amount of $834,913.69; and
• One 2026 Freightliner 114SD Vac-Con VX390LH/800 Hydro Excavator Vehicle from
Municipal Maintenance Equipment via Sourcewell Contract No. 101221-VAC in the
amount of $704,398.29.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and ORDERED, the bid proposals from Towne
Ford and Sourcewell Contract No. 101221-VAC , are hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the request for said purchases in the total amount of
$1,728,488.36 is accepted, and the City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute the
procurement.
