Meeting called to order at 8:00 p.m. - Chairman Mitchell presiding.
Received application and plans from Wm. Roese, 1165 Broadway, for
the erection of a store on Bayshore Freeway Road. Held for action
at the nexty regular meeting.
Received for action a communication from City Council relative to
present housing conditions and lack of certain facilities in the
City Hall.
James Himmel, Vice-president Burlingame Civic welfare League, presented
and explained a plan for the development of that portion of Mills
Ivanor east of El Camino Real and south of Millbrae Avenue, and
generally north of Lufferin Avenue. This plans deals with a proposal
to erect a large shopping area generally within the bounda^ies
mentioned. Mr. Himmel will present the proposal to the new owners
of Mills Estate in the near future.
City Clerk to be informed of advertisement for public hearing on
application of Andrew L. Waechter scheduled for the meEting of June 25.
Chairman requested that a stenographer be present at all regular
-meetings as many important statements may be made and which are not
now being made of record.
Report received from Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Study Committee
on "Edgehill Overpass and Depot Relocation Plan."
