Meeting called to order at 8:00 P.M. - Chairman Mitchell in the
Chair.
I. City and County of San Francisco re: acquisition lands for exten-
sion of San Francisco Airport southeasterly from Millbrae Avenue. Mr.
Burr and Mr. Messerschmidt of the Public Utilities Commission of the
City and County of San Francisco were introduced and discussed the re-
quirements for new runways for the San Francisco Airport. The Secre-
tary was instructed to return a map previously referred to the Plannin
Commission, to the Real Estate Department of the City and County of Sai
Francisco designating the zoning of properties under the jurisdiction
of the City of Burlingame.

3. An application was received from Wilsey and Co. requesting a zone
reclassification of a 198 Acre area south of Millbrae Avenue. It was
regularly moved, seconded and carried that the application be accepted
for study and that the City Clerk schedule a public hearing for the
regular meeting of the Planning Commission, August 2% 1953, with prop-
erty owners within a 560 feet radius to be notified.
4. Election of Officers: James H. Mitchell, re-elected Chairman;
Geo. A. Brown, re-elected Vice -Chairman and Chas. W. Rooth, re-elected
Secretary.
Mayor Simonds announced that a Council -Planning Commission dinner
meeting was scheduled for Friday, August 28 th, at the Villa Chartier
in San Mateo.
At the suggestion of Planning Consultant Mann, a Special Planning Com-
mission study meeting was scheduled for Thursday, August 20, 7:30 P.M.
to proceed with the study of the new zoning ordinances.
The meeting adjourned at 10:20 P.M.
