RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MUSCO
SPORTS LIGHTING, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF $241,328.33, FOR THE PURCHASE AND
INSTALLATION OF FIELD LIGHTING FOR THE WASHINGTON PARK
TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURTS, CITY PROJECT NO. 84050
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame has identified the need to retrofit the light fixtures at
Washington Park Tennis/Pickleball Courts; and
WHEREAS, the Musco Sports Lighting, LLC, equipment and installations for this project
can be purchased through Sourcewell, a government purchasing contract, for $241,328.33, consistent
with the City’s Purchasing Policy.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Manager is authorized on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute an
agreement with Musco Sports Lighting, LLC, in the form attached hereto, for
$241,328.33 for the purchase and installation of field lighting for the Washington Park
Tennis/Pickleball courts.

Musco Scope
Tennis Courts:
1. Unload and store lighting control cabinet, poles, crossarms, LED fixtures, driver enclosures, ball tracker
fixtures, wire harnesses, and mounting hardware.
2. Saw cut and demo tennis court at (2) new pole locations.
3. Drill (2) new sports lighting foundation holes.
4. Set and pour (2) new precast pier foundations with concrete backfill and rebar reinforcement.
5. Assemble and stand (2) new poles, crossarms, LED fixtures, ECE’s, and wire harnesses.
6. Directional bore new conduits from outside tennis court to each new pole locations.
7. Install new lighting Musco lighting control cabinet.
8. Provide and install new conduit and conductors from lighting control cabinet to each new pole location.
9. Demo and dispose of existing ballasts, crossarms, and fixtures from (4) existing tennis court light poles.
10. Install new crossarms, LED Fixtures, ECE’s and wire harnesses on (4) existing tennis court light poles.
General Inclusions:
1. All terminations to complete electrical system.
2. Haul off and disposal of dirt spoils.
3. Saw cut and patch where necessary to complete work.
4. Trench and backfill as necessary.
5. All equipment to complete work.
6. Proper disposal of lamps, ballasts, and capacitors.
7. Disposal of construction debris.
8. Perform all work during normal business hours, ensuring clear access to the workplace. Overtime is not
included.
9. Project is priced using prevailing wage rates and is subject to payroll reporting.
10. Obtain County, City, Fire department, and Utility permits and permit fees.
Exclusions:
1. Price includes standard soil conditions only. Encountering groundwater, rocks, unstable soil, or any other
adverse conditions, will incur additional costs.
2. Any and all water mitigation and/or containment.
3. Any and all electrical engineering, design, and/or fees.
4. Any and all protection of concrete, asphalt, turf, or any other surfaces.
5. Any and all sawcut, patch, or removal of concrete not listed above.
6. Any and all special inspections.
7. Any and all painting.
8. Third party verification or Electrical testing.
9. Performance or Material Bonds.

Responsibilities of Buyer
• Confirm pole or luminaire locations, supply voltage and phase required for lighting system prior to
production
• Provide electrical design and materials for electrical distribution system
• Buyer is responsible for getting electrical power to the site, coordination with the utility, and power
company fees
• The owner of the field is responsible for the structural integrity of the existing poles and/or structures
[SportsCluster only]
Payment Terms
Final payment terms are subject to approval by Musco credit department. Final payment shall not be withheld by
Buyer on account of delays beyond the control of Musco.

Delivery Timing
8 - 10 weeks for delivery of materials to the job site from the time of order, submittal approval, and
confirmation of order details including voltage, phase, and pole/luminaire locations.
Notes
Quote is based on following conditions:
• Shipment of entire project together to one location.
• Voltage and phase system requirements to be confirmed.
• Structural code and wind speed = 2022 CBC, 95 mi/h, Exposure C, Importance Factor 1.0.
• Due to the built-in custom light control per luminaire, pole or luminaire locations need to be confirmed
prior to production. Changes to pole or luminaire locations after the product is sent to production could
result in additional charges.
