A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MOTT MACDONALD GROUP, INC. FOR
THE GILBRETH ROAD LIFT STATION UPGRADE PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$443,386 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
CITY PROJECT NO. 87220
WHEREAS, the Gilbreth Road Lift Station, located on Gilbreth Road between Stanton
Road and Hinckley Road near Highway 101 in Burlingame’s industrial area, was originally
constructed in 1959; and
WHEREAS, the pump station is in need of an upgrade to increase the capacity and to
replace the aging infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals for the project on July 17, 2025, and
Mott MacDonald was identified as the topmost qualified firm for the project due to their
experience on similar projects and their work on other related projects within the city; and
WHEREAS, staff has negotiated a scope of professional services agreement with Mott
MacDonald in the amount of $443,386; and
WHEREAS, there are adequate funds available in the Capital Improvement Program to
complete the design of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame,
California, which FINDS, ORDERS and DETERMINES AS FOLLOWS:
1. The public interest and convenience require execution of the Professional
Services Agreement cited in the title above.
2. The City Manager is authorized to sign said agreement, in the form attached
hereto, on behalf of the City of Burlingame.
3. The City Clerk is instructed to attest such signature.

Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of
October, 2025 and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
