Home My WebLink AboutReso - CC - 118-2025RESOLUTION NO. 118 -2025 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING THE PROCUREMENT OF ONE 2-YARD CAPACITY 4-IN1 COMBINATION LOADER BUCKET ATTACHMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,077.38 WHEREAS, the Fleet Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for vehicle maintenance services of the City’s fleet and for managing the Vehicle Replacement Program in a sustainable and effective manner to ensure the City’s fleet is in good operating condition; and WHEREAS, the replacement John Deere Loader, which was purchased after Council’s approval on August 18, 2025, came with a standard front bucket, which was subsequently determined to be inefficient for routine daily tasks of the Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is requesting the loader’s bucket be changed to a 4-in-1 combination bucket because it is more versatile and can be used for digging, grading, dozing, and clamping objects to pick up, increasing productivity by saving time and eliminating the need for multiple attachments or different types of equipment needed to achieve a task; and WHEREAS, a quote for a new combination 4-in1 bucket was obtained from Belkorp AG, LLC, a Sourcewell contracted dealer of John Deere machines and equipment; and WHEREAS, as part of the quote, Belkorp AG, LLC, has agreed to accept the current standard bucket as a $6,000 trade-in allowance, which brings the total additional cost for the new bucket to $21,077.38; and WHEREAS, this upgrade will bring the total purchase price of the John Deere Loader to $215,290.05. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, and ORDERED, the quote from Belkorp AG, LLC, a Sourcewell contracted dealer, which meets the City’s purchasing policy requirements, is hereby accepted.
