City Attorney Karmel was present and ad- vised Mr. Mattock to file a petition with the City Council requesting resubdivision of the area as proposed accompanied by a licensed surveyor's or engineer's map. Pending formal presentation of the matter to the City Council, the Planning Commission, after consideration, recommended the resubdivision as proposed be approved and the City Council be advised of the Planning Commission's recommendation. There was a general discussion in favor of the extension of California Drive to Millbrae Avenue and the completion of Carolan Avenue. A suggestion was made that the Planning Commission send a communication to the City Council recommending that a study be made to determine the feasability of constructing an overpass to connect Edgehill Drive and Morrell Avenue across California Drive. This with the object of improving the accessibility between these two areas of the city and to relieve the increasing conges- tion at the Broadway intersection, especially during the commuting hours.; The Secretary was requested to draft a communication for review at the next meeting of the Planning Commission to be submitted to the City Council. It was decided on account of an intervening holiday to hold the next meeting February 15, 1951. Meeting adjourned 9:45 p.m. n n
