At this Special Meeting Roy Seagraves, President of the Ray Park
Improvement Club and the Inter -Group Council representing 1,200 home owners
appeared and stated that his organisations will endorse the Wilsey Plan for
the extension of Junipero Serra Boulevard.
Supervisor Thomas Hickey was present and discussed the origin and
the history of Junipero Serra Road, which is projected as far as Burlingame
over vacant land as Highway District #10, extending 1151 beyond Millbrae
Avenue.
At the conclusion of the hearing the following motion was adopted:
RESOLVED, by the Burlingame City Planning Commission that plans
for the proposed extension of the Junipero Serra Boulevard through the con-
fines of Burlingame Hills and Hillsborough, be opposed;
RESOLVED, that full endorsement be given to the substitute Wilsey
Plan, proposed by Earl P. Wilsey, City Manager, Town of Hillsborough;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, and it is hereby recommended by the
Burlingame City Planning Commission that the proposed Wilsey Route be sur-
veyed with a view to future development by the County of San Mateo.
