CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
Burlingame, California
Regular Meeting
June 28, 1951 - 8 p.m.
Others Present
Mr. Marr, City Engineer
Mr. Watson, Building Inspector
Humphrey Jones, an oldtime former resident of Burlingame, appeared and pre-
sented a request to resubdivide his property on the Northerly line of Sanchez Avenue
at El Camino Real. This property comprises Lots 10, 11, 12, 13, and 1/+, Block 18,
Easton Addition No. 2. According to the survey map made by Davenport Bromfield, li-
censed surveyor, realignment of the lot lines would create /+ lots instead of 5 lots
with better alignment and more in conformance with existing lot lines in the neigh-
borhood. After consideration a motion was made by Commissioner Harris and seconded
by Commis.5ioner Henderson that the suggested change in the lot lines be approved.
Upon roll call the vote in favor was unanimous.
Wm. R.-Wright, Jr., Wright Realty Company, appeared with a map for a pro-
posed resubdivision of Lots 37 and 38, Block /+5, Easton Addition No. /+. According
to map of W. D. Soule Company, civil engineers, the proposed change in the lot lines
consist of moving 13.50' of the front portion of Lot 38 into Lot 37, in order to go
around an existing house. This would create a new frontage of only 36.50' on Lot 38
and increase the frontage of Lot 37 from 50' to 63.50'. After consideration the mem-
bers of the Planning Commission concluded that before taking any action this should
be put over for investigation.
Chas. T. Hover appeared with plans for a proposed Butler -type steel build-
ing, 20 x 48, to be erected for office use on the Bayshore Service Road, North of the
Division of Highways property. This new building is to be erected at the rear of a
lot 133 x 300. Approved.
John E. Aguiar, 1925 Devereux Drive, Burlingame, appeared to request a re -
subdivision of Lot 5, Block 11, Ray Park. He desired to sell a portion of the lot to
a neighbor. Itwas explained to him that it would be necessary to follow a'formal pro-
cedure with a survey to delineate the proposed new lot lines.
Chairman Mitchell presented a memorandum recommending certain changes and
additions to the Ordinance Code relating to various types of buildings. After discus-
sion and consideration it was unanimously concluded that copies of this recommendation
should be submitted to the members of the City Council for their consideration.
The officers of the Commission were unanimously reelected by the members to
serve for the ensuing year in their present capacities.
Meeting adjourned 10:15 p.m. r
