Dear Mr. Schoenlank,
Your request tor a minor modification permit was reviewed by property owners within 100', tfle Planning
Commission and City Council. Since there was no appeal, a minor modification permit to allow a 3'-6" side
setback to an 11 SF bay window proposed as part of a 396 SF addition to a single family residence at 115
BRoomfield, zoned R-1, was approved effective March 27, 2000 with the following findings:
that the proposed bay window (which extends 2'-0" from the existing house) will be located in the rear
fifty percent of the structure, and therefore will have a minimal impact on the appearance of tlie
residence from the street;
2. that the proposed bay window is located under the setback of an existing eve and therefore will not
have a detrimental impact on the character of the adjacent properties;
that the proposed bay window provides necessary light and ventilation as required by the California
Building Code for a bathroom; and
4. the proposed project meets all other zoning code requirements and will meet the requirements of the
California Building and Fire Codes, 1998 Edition as amended by the City of Burlingame, and therefore
will not be detrimental to public health, safety or welfare.
All site improvements and construction work will require separate application to the Building Department.
This approval is valid for one year during which time a building permit must be issued. One extension of up
to one year may be considered by the Planning Commission if application is made before the end of the first
year.
