Dear Mr. Mount,
Since there was no appeal to or suspension by the City Council, the January 8, 2001 Plannuig Commission approval
of your application for a conditional use permit for the operation of a private non-profit school on an existing school
site became effective January 17, 2001. The use approved with the conditional use permit is located at 2303
- :..
Trousdale Drive, zoned R-1.
The January 8, 2001, minutes of the Planning Commission state your application was approved with the following
conditions:
1. that the Hope Technology School shall be limited to the 4,252 SF shown on the plans submitted to the
Planning Department and date stamped Dec 1, 2000, sheets SD-1 to SD-3;
2. that the parking lot at the northwest corner of the site shall be configured according to the plans submitted
to the Planning Department and date stamped December 15, 2000;
that the operation of the school classes shall follow the staggered schedule indicated by the charts in the staff
report for the meeting date of January 8, 2000, as adjusted by Franklin School based on actual experience and
the City should be informed about changes to this schedule;
4. that the total number of persons on site at any time will be limited to 16 persons in year one, from January
2001 to August 2001 and 41 persons in year two and following years, from September 2001 to July 2002;
5. that the conditions of the Fire Marshal's, Building Official's, and City Engineer's memos of November 27,
2000, shall be met; and
6. that any improvements for the use shall meet all California Building and Fire Codes, 1998 Edition as
amended by the City of Burlingame.
Reimbursement of a parking variance fee will be mailed to you under separate cover.

All site improvements and construction work will require separate application to the Building Department. This
approval is valid for one year during which time a building permit must be issued. One extension of up to one year
may be considered by the Planning Commission if application is made before the end of the first year.
The decision of the Council is a final administrative decision pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure Section 1094.6.
If you wish to challenge the decision in a court of competent jurisdiction, you must do so within 90 days of the date
of the decision unless a shorter time is required pursuant to state or federal law.
