1) The proposal is to add three new panel antennas, three new ancillary RRH units, and three radar
filters to the existing Sprint facility on the rooftop of the subject building.
The existing Sprint facility is part of the Sprint Network in the San Francisco Bay Area. As such,
the subject facility needs to be upgraded to be compatible with adjacent Sprint facilities in order
to provide a comprehensive network to meet the demands of Sprint subscribers.
The EXISTING Sprint facility contains three panel antennas and six total RRH/RRU units
(shown on sheet A-2), two EXISTING outdoor equipment cabinets (shown on sheet A-3),
EXISTING hybrid cable tray from the equipment cabinets to the existing antenna (shown on
sheet A-1 & A-2).
No new equipment cabinets are proposed as a part of this project. One new battery string and
computer tray will be installed within the existing outdoor equipment cabinets (No visual
change). Hybrid cables will be added as necessary from the existing hybrid cable tray junction
directly adjacent to the existing panel antenna. No new cable trays are proposed. If new hybrid
cables are necessary, the cables will be routed through the existing cable tray footprint.
The proposal is to install one new panel antenna, one new RRH ancillary radio unit and one filter
at each sector at a total three sectors. The RRH and filter are ancillary equipment that allows the
panel antenna to operate effectively. The proposed antenna and both the RRH unit and filter are
shown on sheet A-2 and the specifications/dimensions of the RRH unit and filter are shown on
sheets A-6.

2) Before Sprint decides to design and propose a new facility, Sprint engineers review and analyze
what upgrades can be proposed at their current facilities to improve the network. That was
Sprint's site selection process for this application. Other existing adjacent Sprint facilities will be
upgraded or are in the process of being upgraded as necessary.
The facility at ] 070 Broadway is a high traffic volume site and therefore the existing facility is
proposed for modification. The additional new antennas and supporting equipment will improve
the coverage and capacity that is necessary to meet the demands of Sprint subscribers.
3) The existing Sprint facility is already an integral facility of Sprint's network near 1070
Broadway. The subject facility and other adjacent facilities through triangulation communicate
with adjacent sites and Sprint subscribers in the general area of 1070 Broadway in Burlingame.
4) The facility at 1070 Broadway is an existing Sprint site. The site is already an integral facility in
Sprint's network of existing and any proposed facilities within a tentative 2-year plan.
