(2) The generator complies with the requirements of 40 Code of Federal Regulations section 262.34(d), (e) and (. (3) The generator does not hold acutely hazardous waste or extremely hazardous waste in an amount greater than one kilogram for more than 90 days. Returned to compliance on 06/26/2019. Hazardous waste (e.g., used oil and waste aqueous parts washer) can not be on-site for more than 180 days (six months) from the date that waste was first generated/put in the container. Metal used oil filters may be on-site for up to one year. Paper/plastic filters that do not meet the exemption for metal recycling must be segregated in their own drum and treated as hazardous waste. Waste absorbent needs to be managed as such, properly containerized, and disposed of like the other hazardous wasles. San Mateo County Environmental Health HW CERS 364456 AIRLINE COACH SVC 01-17-2017 40 CFR 1 265.31 - U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, Chapter 1, Section(s) 265.31 Failure to maintain and operate the facility to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Returned to compliance on 06/26/2019. Hosuekeeping needs to improve significantly indoors and outdoors. Observed sanding of fiberglass bumper repairs outside and sanding dust. Absorbent material was observed on the ground around several used oil drums and appears to be used as routine absorbent. Absorbent should be used to clean up a spill and then immediately put in a container for reuse. When the absorbent can't absorb oil anymore, it needs to go into a container as hazardous waste and be labeled and disposed as such. San Mateo County Environmental Health HW CERS 384456 AIRLINE COACH SVC 06-26-2019 40 CFR 1 265.171 - U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, Chapter 1, Section(s) 265.171 Failure to accumulate hazardous waste in a container that is in good condition. Returned to compliance on 07/25/2019. The drum of waste oil filters stored out side the storage container is completely rusted. Provide a new container for this wasle stream to ensure there are no leaks or spills and provide documentation to SMCUPA within 30 days.
