MINOR MODIFICATION REQUEST FOR FENCE HEIGHT
Dear Property Owner,
The Burlingame Planning Division has received an application for Minor Modification at the following address:
1255 JACKLING DRIVE
APN: 027-154-180
APPLICATION FOR INCREASE IN FENCE HEIGHT ALONG EASTON DRIVE FOR THE HOUSE AT 1255
JACKLING DRIVE, ZONED R-1. A Minor Modification is required to increase the fence height by 6-inches
above the maximum allowed height with a 7'-6" fence height proposed along Easton Drive where 7'-0" is the
maximum.
Your property is located within 100 feet of this property. A Minor Modification has been requested to allow this
fence height exception based on Municipal Code Section 25.55.010(a)(2). Any noticed property owner may call
this item up for review. If you would like to request that this project be reviewed, which includes a public
hearing, you should submit a written request to the Community Development Director within seven days of
the postmark on this letter, or by September 12, 2017. Unless review of the application is requested, the Minor
Modification shall be approved based upon the following findings:
that the location of the fence is on the property line (adjacent to Easton Drive) of the existing house so that it
will not alter the character of the neighborhood and will not have a detrimental impact on the character of the
adjacent properties;
2. that the fence is located on the property line (adjacent to Easton Drive) of the existing house and will
only exceed the maximum height by 7%, and therefore will not result in a significant impact on the
adjacent properties or the neighborhood; and
3. that the construction meets the requirements of the California Building and Fire Codes, 2016 Edition as
amended by the City of Burlingame, and therefore will not be detrimental to public health, safety, or welfare.
