Present Absent Mitchell Brown Harris Henderson Macomber Stivers At this meeting there was a discussion relative to recommending the adoption of an ordinance regulating the height of buildings in the interest of public welfare, health and safety. It was announced at the meeting that City Engineer Fitch has ten- dered his resignation to accept a civilian assignment from the Navy at Guam. The Secretary was instructed to write Mr. Fitch a letter of appreciation for his cooperation with the Planning Commission. At 9:25 p.m. Councilman Simonds, Jr. joined in the meeting and he discussed the petition to rezone Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Burlingame Park No. 2 commonly known as 1500 Howard Avenue at the corner of El Camino Real. A pub- lic hearing was held on this petition at the Regular Meeting August 31, 1950, following which the Planning Commission recommended approval. No further action was taken.
