(1) a cut out needs to get 6" smaller on each side, because we need more shear wall. (2) an existing window is rotted and needs to be replaced: need to make it out of 2 windows- the manufacturer doesn't make one that large, which means one of the mullions need to be thicker than the others. Basically, the existing drive is 8'-6" wide asphalt, which is difficult to navigate. The city is asking that the gutter and downspouts have a drainage system installed to take the run off directly to the city storm drains (I knew this was required for new construction, I didn't think that would have to do it for an addition.) As they have to tear up the front yard anyway, they wanted to widen the driveway (the part on their property only, not the public right of way or the curb cut. Would we need to go back to a hearing to make this change? Also the existing driveway is asphalt, which they would like to change to a much nicer paver system: It what the city likes, but wasn't on the planning drawings. Can you let me know what I would need to do to make this change? Thanks!
