It is no longer possible to obtain financing for apartment buildings, making it impossible to proceed with such construction. The contrary is tyus with commercial development 2. The installation of a shopping center contiguous to Broadway would have a beneficial effect on the existing com- mercial area. 3. A new shopping district mould attract and hold cus- tomers in Burlingame that now travel to other cities for their needs 4. The proposed shopping center is economically feasible due to its closeness to a major freeway and its location in a high employment and high income area. S.
