Since there was no appeal to or suspension by the City Council, the August 13, 2007, Planning
Commission approval of your application for a Variance became effective August 23, 2007.
This application was to allow for parking within the front setback of the property at 1545 Carol
Avenue, Burlingame, zoned R-1.
The August 13, 2007 minutes of the Planning Commission state your application was approved
with the following conditions:
1. that onsite parking at 1545 Carol Avenue shall remain as shown on the plans submitted
to the Planning Department date stamped June 21, 2007, Sheet 1; with a 9' x 20' paved
parking area in the front setback accessed by a curb cut on Carol Avenue and a 14' x 20'
covered parking space in the rear of the property accessed by a curb cut on Barriolhet
Avenue;
2. that the conditions of the City Engineer's August 12, 2002 memo shall be met;
3. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the California Building Code and
California Fire Code, 1998 edition, as amended by the City of Burlingame; and
4. that the Variance will become invalid if building envelope changes.
The decision of the Council is a final administrative decision pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure
Section 1094.6. If you wish to challenge the decision in a court of competent jurisdiction, you
must do so within 90 days of the date of the decision unless a shorter time is required pursuant
to state or federal law.
