Present Absent CITY PLANtiING CO"ISSION Burlingame, California Regular Meeting March 31, 1949 - 8 p.m. Others Present Mitchell Macomber Assistant City Engineer Fortunato Coles Shattuck City Building Inspector Watson Brown Stivers The Chairman read a communication from the Burlingame Improvement Associatior dated March 28, 1949, accompanied by a copy of a letter from that Association to the Cii Council relative to smoke at the City Fill and the condition of the road thereto. After consideration the mem ers of the Planning Commission indicated that they agreed with the recommendations embodied in the communication from the Burlingame Improvement Associatic and the Secretary was directed to so advise the Council. The Secretary read a letter from the City Clerk, accompanied by copy of a com- munication dated March 11, 1949 from the Burlingame Gate Improvement Club to the Burlingame City Council, relative to property East of California Drive and North of Mills Avenue on which they are opposed to any contemplated development of light industry After consideration, the members of the Commission directed that the letter be filed fox reference pending and until the matter may be brought before the Planning Commission by the owners of the property. There was some discussion of the possible necessity for flood control in the Mills Manor area. City Engineer Fitch was not present. No action taken. Fire house site. No action. Extension of California Drive. City Engineer Fitch not present. No discussic A member of the Planning Commission reported that he had heard that there is under consideration some plan for a subdivision of the Millbrae Dairy property in which the contracting firm of Burrows & Williams may be interested. No action has been receiq on this subject by the Planning Commission and there was no discussion. Building Inspector Watson presented plans for a proposed building 100 x 100 tc be located at 151 Whitethorn Way in the Broadway industrial area for the Industrial Realty Company. Approved. The Building Inspector presented a sketch for proposed lean-to structure 11 x 120 at the Southeasterly corner of Broadway and Carolan Avenue. Disapproved. Building Inspector Watson presented plans for proposed eight -unit apartment building to be constructed on Lot 7, Block 18, Easton Addition No. 2. Approved. The Building Inspector presented plans for proposed seven -unit apartment build ing to be constructed on Lot 1, Block 5, Burlingame Grove. Approved.
