Dear Mr . Kimmel :
Since there was no appeal to or suspension by the City Council, the
June 13, 1988 Planning Commission approval of your Sign Exception
application became effective June 21, 1988.
This application was to allow a master signage program for the
commercial building at 1199 Broadway, zoned C-1. The June 13, 1988
minutes of the Planning Commission state a master signage program
was approved with the following conditions:
1. that the signs shall be installed as shown on the plans
submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped April
15, 1987 and as individually described in the sign permit
application dated September 17, 1987 and that no window
signs shall be allowed;
2. that the property owner and his authorized representatives
shall be responsible for informing the tenants of the
permitted signage under the master signage program and
ensuring that the sign program is implemented and completed
within 45 days of receiving a master signage permit;
3. that any changes to the signage, including the addition of
window signs, shall require amendment to the master signage
program; and
4. that the signage requirements of this master signage program
shall be amended to each tenant�s lease agreement and shall
be enforced by the landowner as a part of the tenant�s
lease.
Erection of the signage will require separate application to the
Building Department.
