RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that Council approve the attached resolution authorizing the Dircctor
of Public Works to accept the grant deed for the sanitary sewer easement at 1010 Cadillac Way - APN 026-233-
080.
BACKGROUND: As part of the conditions for approval of the private development project for Rector Motors,
the applicant was required to grant a 10-foot wide easement to the City for access to a relocated public sewer
main. The easement is 10-foot wide by approximately 45-feet long measured from the center of the easement.
The applicant has agreed to accept responsibility for maintenance of the easement area above ground.

RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
ACCEPTING
GRANT OF EASEMENT FROM E. JAMES HANNAY
FOR SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT AT 1010 CADILLAC WAY
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Burlingame:
WHEREAS, the owner of the real property at 1010 Cadillac Way are redeveloping the
property; and
WHEREAS, in order to properly provide access to the sanitary sewer, an easement is
required; and
WHEREAS, the property owners are willing to grant this easement to accommodate the
sanitary sewer and maintain it in a safe condition,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED:
1. The Grant Deed for Sanitary Sewer Easement attached hereto as Exhibit A is approved
and accepted, and the City Manager is authorized and directed to accept the Deed by and on behalf
of the City..
2. The City Clerk is directed to record the Deed and this Resolution with the County
Recorder of the County of San Mateo.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
10 FOOT SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT
A ten foot (10.00) Sanitary Sewer Easement situate in the City of Burlingame, County of
San Mateo, State of California and being a portion of that parcel of land described as
Parcel 1 in that certain grant deed recorded December 20, 1985 as Instrument Number
85136753 Official Records of San Mateo County, and shown on that certain Record of
Survey filed for record on September 5, 2001 in Book 22 of L.L.S. maps at Page 71, San
Mateo County Records and lying five (5.00) feet on each side of the following described
centerline:
Beginning at the most westerly corner of said Parcel 1, thence along the northwesterly
line cf said Parcel 1 the following three courses:
North 48°48' East, 46.21 feet;
2. Thence tangent to the last mentioned course, along the arc of a curve to
the right with a radius of 200 feet, through a central angle of 28°45'00",
an arc distance of 100.36 feet;
3. Thence North 77°33' East, 10.21 feet to the True Point of Beginning,
Thence leaving said line South 6°24' 13" East, 44.00' feet to the Point of Termination of
said easement.
The sidelines of said strip shall be lengthened or shortened to from a continuous strip
from said northwesterly line.
