GENERAL DEMOLITION NOTES
1. General Contractor to proceed with caution during the progress of demolition.
2. The Demolition Controctor shall verify oll existing conditions and sholl notify the
Owner�s Representative of any discrepancies from these plans and existing conditions.
3. The Demolition Contractor shall visit the site and become fomiliar with all ezisting
conditions.
4. Owner of property has first right o' salvoge. Demolition Contractor should meet with
Owner and determine which items and materials are to be solvaged and their disposition.
All other items and material not scheduled to be salvaqed, including debris, shall become
property of the Contractor and shall be disposed of outside the limits of the property in
a legal manner. Location of dump and length of haul sholl be Contractor's
responsibility,
5. The Demolition Controctor will take into account and acknowledge in his bid the spirit
and intent of these documents. With the exception of those partitions indicated on the
plan, oll other existing interior partitions, floor finishes, ceilings, and accomponying light
fixtures are to be removed. These documents do not address eoch and every condition
and it will be the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that these conditions are
addressed. Any questions are to be directed to the Owners Representative.
All remaining walls to be clean and without obstructions ond ready for new finishes or
construction.
FJI adhesives are to be removed to provide a smooth clean surface to con�rete slabs.
If any structural member is uncovered during demolition, Contractor shall notify
Architect immediately.
Contractor shall be responsible for oll necessory shoring, bracing, etc. during demolition
Remove existing electrical conduit ond wire in ceiling and walls complete
to main breaker in existing electrical room.
If any electrical and mechanicol items hidden from view are uncovered during
demolition, the Owner's Representative must be notified prior to demolition.
Oemolition Contractor will leave the spoce broom clean upon completion of his work,
WASTE AND VENT DEMOLITION NOTES
1. Woste ond vent piping below floor slab to be abondoned and left in place.
2. Waste ond vent piping above floor to be removed.
3. Piping below slab that is to be abandoned shall be sealed with concrete to make water
ond air tight. Bring concrete to floor and finish.
4. Floor sinks ond floor drains: Tops ot bodies ond/or strainers shall be removed and
drains filled with concrete to make water ond air tight. Bring concrete to floor and
finish.
5. Floor cleanouts of abandoned waste lines below floor slabs: Remove tops and seal with
cleanout plug. Fill top of body with concrete to floor and finish.

DURING DEMOLITION PROCESS; G.C. TO IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY
THE ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE FIELO
CONDITIONS AND DRAWINGS. ARCHITECT WILL NOT BE HELD
LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS OR CONSEQUENTIAL
CHANGE ORDERS SHOULD G.C. FAIL TO REPORT THESE
DISCREPANCIES — NO EXCEPTIONS!
