Your request for Minor Design Review for changes to the front fa�ade of an existing commercial
storefront at 1454 Burlingame Avenue, zoned BAC, was reviewed by property owners within
100 feet, the Planning Commission and the City Council. The changes to the front of the building
include:
1) Replacing the existing steel frame storefront glazing and wood frame/glass front entry door
with new bronze anodized aluminum frame storefront glazing and an aluminum frame/glass
front entry door.
2) Changing the skewed recessed front entry to a rectangular recessed front entry and move
the front entry door 5'-0" closer to the front property line (door would still be set back 3'-6"
from the front property line).
Since there was no appeal, the Minor Design Review to allow for the changes listed above at
1454 Burlingame Avenue was approved effective February 5, 2014. The project must be
consistent with the plans submitted to the Planning Division on January 17, 2014.
All site improvements and construction work will require separate application to the Building
Department. This approval is valid for one year during which time a building permit must
be issued. One extension of up to one year may be considered by the Planning Commission if
application is made before the end of the first year.
