Present Absent Mitchell done Shattuck Coles Brown Macomber Stivers CITY PLANNING COMISSION Burlingame, California Regular Meeting October 28, 1948 - 8 p.m. Others Present City Attorney Karmel City Engineer Fitch City Building Inspector Watson The Chairman brought up the matter of the resubdivision of Lots 21, 22, and 23 Burlingame Manor, which was acted upon at a previous meeting (August 26, 1948) for recon- sideration in response to a message from the City Council through the City Clerk. City Attorney Karmel was present and recited sections of the Map Act and advised the Planning Commission not to consider acting upon a resubdivision until a map thereof has been certified by the City Engineer. This matter was continued. Mr. Wyatt appeared with revised plans for a proposed second dwelling to be con- structed on a lot at 945 Laguna Avenue, Easton Addition No. 1. After discussion this matter was continued. City Building Inspector Watson presented plans for a proposed office building containing 780 square feet on Rollins Road for U. Peira & Son. Approved. Chairman Mitchell brought up for discussion the subject of recommending the formation of a Citizens' Committee for the advancement of public safety. City Attorney Karmel reported that he believed some hazards existed in the condition of sidewalks in need of repair. City Engineer Fitch was present -and -stated that where it is found repairs are necessary, the Work is being done as fast as possible: Mr. Coles brought up the subject of set -back lineslon E1 Camino Real. No action was taken. Dr. Macomber brought up the possibility of finding some use, possibly for recrea- tional purposes, of the area owned by the city in the vicinity of the disposal plant. In the discussion none of the commissioners brought up at this meeting any definite proposals on this subject, and no action was taken. Meeting adjourned at 10:30P.M. t D. A. Stivers, Secretary.
