The applicant is proposing to remodel the interior of the existing house and the addition will have a 24'-3" setback from the front properly line, where the closest existing front setback is 21'-0". The proposal meets all zoning code requirements. Dear Property Owner, The Burlingame Planning Department has received an application for a Hillside Area Construction Permit at the following address: Your property is located within 100 feet of this property. A hillside area construction permit has been requested to allow this addition based on Municipal Code Section 25.61, which states that this project may be called up for review by the Planning Commission and this review shall be based upon the obstruction of the existing distant views of nearby properties by the proposed project, with emphasis given to the obstruction of distant views from habitable areas within a dwelling unit. Any noticed property owner may call this item up for additional review.
