APPLICATION FOR A HILLSIDE AREA CONSTRUCTION PERMIT TO
ADD 203 SF AT THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF THE HOUSE AT 2132
TROUSDALE DRIVE, ZONED R-1. The applicant is proposing to remodel the
interior of the existing house and the addition will have a 24'-3" setback from the front
properly line, where the closest existing front setback is 21'-0". The proposal meets all
zoning code requirements.
Dear Property Owner,
The Burlingame Planning Department has received an application for a Hillside Area Construction
Permit at the following address:
Your property is located within 100 feet of this property. A hillside area construction permit has been
requested to allow this addition based on Municipal Code Section 25.61, which states that this project
may be called up for review by the Planning Commission and this review shall be based upon the
obstruction of the existing distant views of nearby properties by the proposed project, with emphasis
given to the obstruction of distant views from habitable areas within a dwelling unit.
Any noticed property owner may call this item up for additional review. If you would like to request
that this project be reviewed, which includes a public hearing, you should submit a written and
signed request to the City Planner within seven days of the postmark on this letter. A copy of the
site plan and building elevations are enclosed for your review.
Unless review of the application is requested it shall be determined that the placement of the proposed
construction shall not have a substantial impact on the existing distant views of nearby properties,
particularly from habitable areas within a dwelling unit. If you have any questions regarding this
