City Attorney Karmel was present and explai.nad the zoning ordinance which was adopted in 1929. The Chair- man read the petition requesting that a variance be granted from its present status from Apartment to a Permissive Variance to allow the use of the property as Chapter Headquarters of the San Mateo County Chapter, American Red Cross.
