Date: 11.09.98 Marga t Monoe, City PYannef� RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION AND DESIGN REVIEW RESO-55-98 RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a Categorical Exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a Design Review for for a second -story addition at 702 Newhall Road , zoned R-1, John E. & Brigitte Anderson, property owners, APN: 028-142-400• WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on October 14, 1998 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and Categorical Exemption, per CEQA Article 19, Section 15303, construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures including (a) single-family residences not in conjunction with the building of two or more such units is hereby approved. 2. Said Design Review is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such Design Review are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. I, Dave Luzuriaga , Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 14th day of October , 1998 , by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS:COFFEY, KEIGHRAN, LUZURIAGA, VISTICA AND DEAL NOES: COMMISSIONERS: KEY ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: BOJUES SECRET EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval Categorical Exemption and Design Review 702 Newhall Road effective OCTOBER 20, 1998 1. that the project shall be built as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department date stamped September 22, 1998, sheets 1 through 9, and 11 and 12, and date stamped October 7, 1998, sheet 10, including building materials and exterior finishes, and the windows shall match the existing window style; 2. that the conditions of the Chief Building Official's August 24, 1998 memo and the City Engineer's August 24, 1998 memo shall be met; 3. that any changes to the size or envelope of the second floor, which would include adding or enlarging a dormer (s) or changing the roof height or pitch, shall be subject to design review; 4. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the California Building and Fire Codes, 1995 edition, as amended,by the City of Burlingame; that the garage walls shall be extended to support the second story addition and the garage door shall be relocated to the new wall extended from the face of the second floor above and that an automatic garage door opener shall be installed; and that the washer and dryer remain on the left side and the workbench be relocated so that the front 18' of the right side of the garage is clear.
