RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION,
PARI{ING VARIANCE AND SPECIAL PERMIT
RESOLUTION-50-98
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, a Categorical Exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a
parking variance and special permit for health services (chiropractic office) at _ 1201 Howard Avenue,
Suite MIA, zoned C-1, subarea B. 1201 Howard Avenue LLC, property owner, APN• 029-224-060;
WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on
September 14, 1998 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written
materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that:
1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments
received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the
project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and Categorical Exemption, per
CEQA Article 19, Section 15301, existing facilities, Class 1(a), interior or exterior alterations involving
such things as interior partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveyances is hereby approved.
2. Said parking variance and special permit are approved, subject to the conditions set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such parking variance and special permit are as set forth in
the minutes and recording of said meeting.
It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records
of the County of San Mateo.

certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission held on the 14t1i day of September , 1998 , by the following vote:

Conditions of approval Categorical Exemption, Parking Variance and Special Permit
1201 Howard Avenue, Suite 101A
effective SEPTEMBER 23, 1998
1. that the chiropractic office shall be limited to 1043 SF in Suite IOTA, at 1201 Howard
Avenue, as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped
August 11, 1998, Sheets Al through A3;
2. that the chiropractic office may not be open for business except during the hours of 8:00
a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays with a maximum of 5 people (employees
and clients) on site at any one time;
3. that any changes in operation, floor area, use, or number of employees, which exceeds the
maximums as stated in these conditions shall require an amendment to this use permit; and
4. that the use and any improvements for the use shall meet all California Building and Fire
Codes, 1995 Edition as amended by the City of Burlingame.
