Date: 09.10.98 Margar t Monroe, City Planner RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION AND FRONT SETBACK VARIANCE RESO-46-98 RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a front setback variance to construct a solid roof covering over the building entrance at 1411 El Camino Real zoned R-3 APN• 026-013-1504 Artour Katanski and Nadia Sheibani. property owners; WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on August 24 1998, at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and Categorical Exemption, per Article 19. Section: 15301 Class 1 - (e) additions to existing structures provided the addition will not result in an increase of more than 50 % of the floor area of the structures before the addition is hereby approved. 2. Said variance is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such variance is as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. 3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. I, Dave Luzuriaga , Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the 24th day of August, 1998 , by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS: KEY, LUZURIAGA, BOJUES, VISTICA AND DEAL NOES: COMMISSIONERS: NONE ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: COFFEY AND KEIGARAN EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval for categorical exemption and front setback variance. 1411 EL CAMINO REAL effective SEPTEMBER 9, 1998 1. that the project shall be built as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department date stamped July 23, 1998, Sheets 1-8 (11" x 17") and that any change to the size or support of the roof covering or railing shall require an amendment to this permit; 2. that the area covered by the solid roof covering shall not be enclosed and the improvements shall be painted to match the existing building; and that this project shall meet all the requirements of the California Building and Fire Codes, 1995 edition, as amended by the City of Burlingame.
