Date: 06.11.98 Margaret Monroe, City Planner RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION AND SIGN EXCEPTION RESOLUTION-23-98 RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, a Categorical Exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a Sign Exception for for number of signs and total sign area on a primary frontage to add 8 signs for the parking ioL at 1800 Bayshore Highway, zoned C-4, HMH SFO Inc., property owner, APN: 024-380-080; WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on June 8, 1998 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Planning Commission that: 1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and Categorical Exemption, per CEQA Section 15311, accessory strictures, consists of construction, or placement of minor structures accessory to existing commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities, including but not limited to: (a) On premise signs is hereby approved. 2. Said Sign Exception is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Findings for such Sign Exception are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting. 3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. I, Mike Coffey , Acting Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission held on the _ h- day of Jane , 1998 , by the following vote: AYES: COMMISSIONERS: COFFEY, LUZURIAGA, BOJUES, KEIGHRAN, VISTICA AND DEAL NOES: COMMISSIONERS: NONE ABSENT: COMMISSIONERS: KEY w 611�- SECRE'�ARY EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval Categorical Exemption and Sign Exception 1800 Bayshore Highway effective JUNE 10, 1998 1. that the addition of the 8 signs on the primary frontage within the parking area shall be designed and installed as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department and date stamped April 21, 1998; 2. that the sign permit shall not be issued or the signs installed until the conditions of the City engineer's memo dated June 1, 1998 have been met and the parking lot shall be restripped within 90 days, September 8, 1998; and 3. that the project shall meet all California Building and Fire Codes, 1995 Edition as amended by the City of Burlingame. `a
