THE EXISTING SECOND iJNIT IS LOCATED AT THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY AND WAS BUII.T BEFORE 1954. Your property is located within 100 feet of this property. A special permit has been requested to legalize this existing second unit based on the Second Unit Amnesty Program enacted by City Ordinance No.1653. Any noticed property owner may call this item up for review. If you would like to request that this project be reviewed, which includes a public hearing, you should submit a written request to the City Planner within seven days of the postmark on this letter. Unless review of the application is requested, the special permit shall be granted based upon the following conditions of approval: 1. that the second unit shall be made to meet the State Health and Safety Code Section 17920; that the water heater vent must be provided a minimum of 6inches of clearance from the roof sheathing; and that the temperature and pressure relief valve for the water heater must be provided with a metal pipe run to the exterior of the building , pointed at the ground and terminating no less than 6 inched nor more than 18 inches abo� e�rade; 2. that all building permits required to bring the second unit into compliance with the Health and Safety Code shall be applied for, and all construction work completed by, June 30, 2003; 3. that any alterations or repairs to the second unit shall meet the requirements of Burlingame Municipal Code Section 25.59; and 4. that no permits for work to the main single family dwelling on site are approved with this special permit.
