Mr. Suckow has more than 30 yeurs of technical and profersional experience in construction

At their meeting of February 23, 2000 the City Council held an appeal hearing on your application to
allow a sign exception at 1649 Adrian Road, zoned M-1.
Following a public hearing Council reversed the Planning Commission's denial and approved your
application with the following conditions:
1. that the project shall be built as shown on the plans date stamped November 10, 1999, for a free
standing pole sign with a height of 24'-0", with two-side copy having 168 SF of copy ^er side
(total of 336 SF of copy on pole sign), and changeable copy, including a digital clock;
2. that the applicant shall obtain and provide verification of approval from CalTrans for a changeable
copy sign prior to application for a building permit;
3. the frequency of change of copy for each statement on the changeable copy sign shall be no more
than once per day with no alternating of inessages;
4. that no off-site advertising of other commercial businesses, services, or products shall be
permitted;
5. that only a single color light bulb or light cell shall be used for the message board and digital
clock; and
6. that the project shall meet all California Building Code and Fire Code requirements, 1998 Edition
as amended by the City
All site improvements and construction wark will require separate application to the Building Department.
This approval is valid for one year during which time a building permit must be issued. One extension
of up to one year may be considered by the Planning Commission if application is made before the end
of the first year.

The decision of the Council is a final administrative decision pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure Section
1094.6. If you wish to challenge the decision in a court of competent jurisdiction, you must do so within
90 days of the date of the decision unless a shorter time is required pursuant to state or federal law.
