REQUEST FOR MINOR MODIFICATION FOR LOT COVERAGE
Dear Property Owner,
The Burlingame Planning Department has received an application for Minor Modifications at the following address:
2200 ADELINE DRIVE
APN: 027-142-130
APPLICATION FOR A MINOR MODIFICATION TO ALLOW 40.5 % LOT COVERAGE
WHERE 40% LOT COVERAGE IS THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED (A TOTAL OF 2,143 SF
OF THE 5,284 SF LOT WILL BE COVERED WHERE 2,113 SF IS THE MAXIMUM
COVERAGE ALLOWED) AT 2200 ADELINE DRIVE, ZONED R-1. The applicant is proposing
an 141 SF single story addition along the right side of the existing house, and a 10 SF bay window at
the front.
Your property is located within 100 feet of this property. A minor modification has been requested to allow this
addition based on Municipal Code Section 25.55. Any noticed property owner may call this item up for review. If
you would like to request that this project be reviewed, which includes a public hearing, you should submit a
written request to the City Planner within seven days of the postmark on this letter. Unless review of the
application is requested, the minor modification shall be approved based upon the following findings:
1. that the additional lot coverage for the single story addition meets the setback requirement for a comer lot and
will not alter the character of the neighborhood and will not have a detrimental impact on the character of the
adjacent properties;
2. that the proposed addition is designed within the allowed building envelope and the proposed materials for the
addition match the materials on the existing house and therefore, the addition is compatible with the mass and
character of property and of the neighborhood;
3. that the proposed addition meets the required setback for a corner lot and the amount the lot coverage exceeds
the maximum allowed is minor and will not have a detrimental impact on the character of the adjacent
properties; and �
4. the proposed project meets all other zoning code requirements and will meet the requirements of the
California Building and Fire Codes, 2001 Edition as amended by the City of Burlingame, and therefore will
not be detrimental to public health, safety or welfare.

City of Burlingame on the 16th day of Ju1v 2003, deposited in the United States
Post Office a NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING, a copy of which is attached hereto,
with postage thereon prepaid, addressed to the persons listed on the addresses
attached hereto and made a part hereof, to wit:
that said persons are the owners of said property who are entitled to
NOTICE OF HEARING pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of
Burlingame that on said day there was regular communication by
