Dear Mr. and Mrs. Arcilla, Your request for a Hillside Area Construction Permit was reviewed by property owners within 100 feet, the Planning Commission and the City Council. Since there was no appeal, a Hillside Area Construction Permit for a first story addition at the rear of 2731 Summit Drive, was approved. The project must be consistent with the plans submitted to the Planning Division and date stamped June 10, 2021. Any further changes to these plans shall be subject to further Hillside Area Construction Permit procedures. All site improvements and construction work will require a separate application to the Building Department. This approval is valid for one year during which time a building permit must be issued. An extension of up to one year may be considered by the Planning Commission if application is made before the end of the first year. The proposed project includes a 374 SF addition to the first floor (at the rear) of the existing one-story, single family dwelling. The addition will be on the rear right portion of the house, set back 15'-0" from the right side property lir�e and 21'-0" from the rear property line. A Hillside Area Construction Permit has been requested to allow this improvement based on Municipal Code Section 25.61. Any noticed property owner may call this item up for additional review.
