1392 Vancouver Ave - Application
June 9, 1964 Burlingame cty Planning Commission Burlingame, California Gentlemen: This letter will serve as a petition for variance in the construction of a horizontal board fence, running approximately 35 feet on side of property at 1392 Vancouver Avenue, Burlingame. The fence, facing Hillside Drive, will, because of property slop;-y' range in height from 8 to 10 feet. The 10 foot height will be erected at the low end of slope. Fencing will actually be a continuation of remaining portion of a hedge on Hillside side of property and will be constructed of first grade lumber with decorative capped post tops. It will be painted white and maintained year- round. Our purpose in erection of this fence is to: 1. Improve appearance o£ property. Through neglect by former owners hedge line running approximately 50 feet and 7 to 8 feet high has deteriorated to a point where it has become an eyesore and a definite liability to overall appearance of the property. 2. To afford some degree of privacy. 3. To protect patio furniture and other articles from theft. Several minor items have been stolen from yard due to easy access to property. Inasmuch as code requires fence construction begin 2 feet inside property line, plans are to utilize this 2-foot section (running approximately 35 feet) for the planting of shrubs and ivy. This will further enhance appearance of property. \A - S1riC T i Fnk D. 0'Sullivan 1392 Vancouver Avenue Burlingame, California Phone: 344-0281 %` / . - i✓ "/`2 / - / , ;--- so _ , ,_. , . _ ; t. c_ l ooklup EIS j r , i y . z'; -.-.-_ '-- /' GC l //3 (/ 1 9.z-c°o cc v , v ✓ J J O w V u /Q %+ U L" G -_-__.. _ _ ` ;; t ---- - — } i I , I ..
