The meeting was called to order at, 7:10 P. K. ,

In the matter of the ap:lication by Christian;
Scientists to operate -i Benevolent Boarding t.ouse,
solely for Children of °;hristi:an scientists, -at
1449 Bellevue Avenue, vurlingarie. i,_rs Helen t,hite,
Saaret=iry-reasurer of the ;;oncarn, explained that
the Eome would be operated on a non-profit bisis,
that the number of ;hildran v.culd not ex,3ed fif'teerA
at any one time, that the aeas iaoul.d vary from four
to fifteen years; also, that the Children w(juld be

around.
Strom; opposition was manifested by r,rs Hugh tl.cPhaa,
Mr. Herbert Lauder, 11Lr. Lnton Rulfs and Iir. William
Feldcimp, -'partment !-use Operators, in that they
are being =Lnnoyed by ',hildren ringing doorbells and
other noises, to the detriMent of the busi,iess.
Both sides having been f:_rlly heard, the ;ommission
took the matter under advisement for further study
when .a motion to reeommand that the re quest be denied
was carried by a vote of four to two. 1{'or the mc;tic;>i

The request of r. F. Laffitte, asking; permission: to
front lots 19 and 20, in block 45, -'aston ;addition,
on Hillside Drive instead of on vernal Ivanua is now
was approved after a com,unication with -r. Walter
De Leer, of 140- �ernal Avenue, whose lot would be
keyed, revealed that he YvAd no objection provided that
there were no arapes or out -buildings ere�ted on rear
of lots 19 and 20, and leave a clear spa--e of 20 feet
from the rear fence.
The omaiissiori recommended that the request be granted
if Lir. L-iffette agrees to those restrictions
