NOTICE OF HEARING
The CITY OF BURLINGAME PLANNING COMMISSION announces the
following public hearing on MONDAY, JANUARY 22, 1996 at 7:30 P.M.
in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 501 Primrose Road,
Burlingame, California. A copy of the application and plans may be
reviewed prior to the meeting at the Planning Division at 501
Primrose Road, Burlingame, California.

RESOLUTION APPROVING CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION
AND Special Permit
RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, a categorical exemption has been proposed and application has been made for a
s�ecial permit for wholesale automobile sales at _808 Burlway Road Unit #2, APN• 026-111-120 ;

WHEREAS, said matters were heard by the Planning Commission of the City of Burlingame on
7anuary 22, 1996 , at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written
materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED and DET�RMINED by this Planning Commission that:

1. On the basis of the Initial Study and the documents submitted and reviewed, and comments
received and addressed by this commission, it is hereby found that there is no substantial evidence that
the project set forth above will have a significant effect on the environment, and categorical exemption
per Article 19, Section: 15301 - Existing Facilities, Class 1(a), Interior or exterior alterations involving
such things as interior partitions, plumbing, and electrical conveniences is hereby approved.
2. Said special permit is approved subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto. Findings for such special permit are as set forth in the minutes and recording of said meeting.
3. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official
records of the County of San Mateo.

Conditions of approval categorical exemption and special permit

effective FEBRUARY 5, 1996
that the project shall be built as shown on the plans submitted to the Planning Department
and date stamped December 1, 1995, Site Plan �$l�z" X 11") and floor plan (81/a" X 11");
2. that the conditions of the Fire Marshal's December 18, 1995 memo shall be met;
that none of the uncovered on site parking shall be used for automobile display or to
store cars for sale from this business, no parking spaces shall be signed or designated to
Unit #2, and all parking sta11S on site shall be available for use by all tenants and
customers; none of the parking on site shall be leased for a fee to any other business, use
or activity without amendment to this use permit;
4. that the business shall be open 1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. , Monday through Friday and
12:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. , Saturday with a maximum of two employees on site at any one
time including the proprietor;
5. that one vehicle, at least, shall be displayed inside the building in accordance with the
Department of Motor Vehicle dealer's license requirements;
6. that vehicles to be sold or displayed by this business shall be delivered before or after
regular business hours of other tenants on site; no cars shall be off loaded on the public
street, in shared driveways or in such a way that required on site parking is blocked;
7. that any changes to this business operation and floor area (square footage) as outlined in
the application materials date stamped December 1, 1995, sha11 require an amendment
to this special permit; and
8. that the project shall meet all the requirements of the Uniform Building and Uniform Fire
Codes as amended by the City of Burlingame. �
