RESOLUTION NO �� 24-88 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME APPROVING AND ORDERING REORGANIZATION TO DETACH FROM THE CITY OF HILLSBOROUGH AND ANNEX � TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME - PORTION OF HOOVER SCHOOL SITE RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame as follows: WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo a petition for a Municipal reorganization to detach from the City of Hillsborough and annex to the City of Burlingame that certain territory more fully described hereinafter and known as the Lands of Hoover School Site. WHEREAS, said proposal was approved by the Local Agency Formation Commission, and this Council was authorized to proceed without notice, hearing or election. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED, DETERMINED and FOUND as follows: 1. Proceedings were commenced by petition of the property owners under the Cortese-Knox Reorganization Act of 1985, Section 56000, et seq., of the Government Code. 2. The affected cities are Burlingame and Hillsborough. 3. The change of organization proposed is the detachment of the subject area from the City of Hillsborough and its annexation to the City of Burlingame. 4. The reason for the reorqanization as described in the proposal is to allow the development of the surplus school site within one city. 5. The only terms or conditions of the proposed reorganiz- ation contained in LAFCO's Resolution 770 was the submission of a revised map and legal description, which condition has been met. 6. The description of the boundaries of the area involved in such change of organization is more particularl�� set forth in �XHIBIT A attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. 7.
